Studio David Production’s First Original Anime Onmyou Kaiten Re:Birth Announced
Studio David Production has launched a new official website to announce Onmyou Kaiten Re:Birth, David Production’s first original anime.
The site shared the first promotional video of the anime, showcasing a July 2025 release date.
The site also unveiled the first key visual.

About Onmyou Kaiten Re:Birth:
A delinquent high school student, Narihira Takeru, spends his days immersed in fights, alone and without associating with anyone.
Yet, he finds himself harbouring feelings for a mysterious girl, Tsukimiya, who appears in his dreams repeatedly.
Then, one day, Takeru falls from a cliff due to an unforeseen accident.
When he regains consciousness, Denji Heian-kyou—a Heian capital where technology has evolved to an advanced level—spreads out before his eyes. It is a world guarded by the strongest onmyouji, Abe no Seimei, and the very place where the Tsukimiya he longed for exists.
Ecstatic over the fateful encounter he had dreamed of, Takeru is overjoyed. However, within the suddenly appearing black mist “Yamikaoru,” he is attacked by monstrous beings known as “Oni” and loses his life alongside Tsukimiya.
However, the next moment, Takeru wakes up again in Denji Heian-kyo.
Realizing that he has time-leaped, Takeru, to resist the future where Tsukimiya loses her life, decides to learn onmyoujutsu from Abe no Seimei and fight as an onmyuoji!
