Whoever Steals This Book Novel Receives Anime Movie Adaptation in 2026
A newly launched official X (Formerly Twitter) account has announced that Fukamidori Nowaki’s novel, Whoever Steals This Book, will receive an anime movie adaptation directed by Fukuoka Daiki and animated by studio Kagokan.
The X account released the movie’s first teaser trailer, announcing its 2026 release.
The X account also unveiled the first teaser visual.
Publisher Kadokawa Shoten released Fukamidori Nowaki’s novel Whoever Steals This Book in a hardcover version on October 8, 2020, and a paperback version on June 13, 2023.
The novel’s English translation was released on February 18, 2025.
Kadokawa Shoten also published a manga adaptation by Sora Kakeru in their Young Ace magazine from December 3, 2021, to March 3, 2023. The manga ended with 3 volumes and 14 chapters in total.
