Übel Blatt Latest Trailer Reveals New Cast Members

The official website of the action fantasy anime Übel Blatt has released a new trailer featuring the opening theme “Zainin” by GARNiDELiA. Übel Blatt will start airing on January 10.

Six new cast members have been announced:

• Matsuda Kenichirou as Geranpen
• Toriumi Kousuke as Fargo
• Suzuki Ryouta as Rangzatz
• Inoue Kazuhiko as Glenn
• Kusunoki Taiten as Schtemwölech
• Uchida Naoya as Barestar

Messages from the new cast members were also shared:

Matsuda Kenichirou: “Although I was very happy when I passed the audition, I remember worrying about how I should portray the inner thoughts of this character. Geranpen has a strong exterior and a pure and lovely inner self. I read the original comics over and over again and tried and tested various ways to bring out as much of Geranpen’s charm as possible. The curtains rise on an epic dark fantasy! Please look forward to watching Kaintzel and his friends’ exploits as they face a brutal battle!”

Toriumi Kousuke: “I’m Toriumi Kosuke, and I play Fargo. My impression is that Fargo is a really well-made character. I did my best to portray Fargo in a way that was just right for him. I hope you will take a look at Fargo’s amazing finished version, and see what kind of character he is. Thank you for your support!”

Suzuki Ryouta: “My name is Suzuki Ryota, and I will be the voice of Rangsatz. Rangsatz is a very strong swordsman. I hope he has many opportunities to play an active role. I’m excited that the series will start airing in January. I remember the recording sessions being very heated, so I’m looking forward to seeing how that passion is conveyed in the footage. Don’t miss Kaintzel’s revenge!”

Inoue Kazuhiko: “When I heard that I would be recording Übel Blatt and that I would be playing the role of Glenn, and I saw the character materials for the first time, I thought, ‘Wow! What a dignified face.’ I thought he’d definitely be playing a certain type of role… I was impressed by the role, which was a pleasant surprise. I thought, ‘This is an amazing story! This would be a very rewarding role.'”

Kusunoki Taiten: “I will be voicing Stemverech, one of the Seven Heroes and the mastermind behind this dark fantasy epic tale of revenge, and as I learned more about it, I was trembling with excitement! (You can tell by looking at the members of the Seven Heroes.) But at the same time, I was looking forward to it! When recording began, the direction was detailed and careful, and it felt like everyone was putting their all into the production. We had great teamwork, and the communication and drinking together was perfect, so I’m looking forward to the finished product!”

Uchida Naoya: “My name is Naoya Uchida, and I play the role of Barestar. I was looking forward to playing one of the Seven Heroes, but I remember it was a very difficult character to act as he led a very sad life. I hope you will keep that in mind as you watch the anime. Please look forward to it♡”

In the year 3968 of the Oracle Calendar, the Emperor sent out 14 young men with a mission and a sacred spear to stop the invasion of the Dark Land.
