The Rising of the Shield Hero Fourth Season Release Date Announced
The official website of the anime adaptation of Aneko Yusagi’s The Rising of the Shield Hero has announced that the fourth season will be released in July 2025.
The site also announced two new cast members.
New Cast Members:
- Ootsuka Takeo as Werner
- Saitou Jirou as Jaralis
The site also unveiled a new key visual.

Iwatani Naofumi, a 22-year-old otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to the otherworldly kingdom of Melromarc.
He is tasked with joining the Sword, Spear, and Bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero.
Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect.
Unable to trust anyone, he buys a slave girl named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world that wronged him.
But will he find a way to overturn his desperate situation?
