Mobile Game Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown has Re-Released

The official website of the mobile game Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown has announced the game has been re-released on December 17, after going into extended maintenance on September 28, 2023.
A new re-release promotional video has been released.

To celebrate the re-release, six great campaigns are being held, offering up to 100 free Scout Tickets:  

1. Restart Celebration Login Bonus: Receive 10 free Scout Tickets, EXP items, and more from the Login Bonus. Available until January 30, 2025, 4:59 UTC.
2. Restart Celebration Missions: Get up to 90 Ticket Scouts, a variety of Enhancement Materials, and other items from the limited-time Missions. Combined with the Login Bonus, you can receive up to 100 Scout Tickets. Available until January 30, 2025, 4:59 UTC.
3. Restart Celebration Event: The “Giant Soldiers of Darkness and the Banquet of Beginnings” event is underway. Complete quests to get medals that can be exchanged for great rewards like exclusive ability cards. Available until January 6, 2025, 4:59 UTC.
4. Restart Celebration Quests: A special daily quest is available, offering “armour” useful in the early stages of the game. Available until January 30, 2025, 4:59 UTC.
5. Player Invitation Feature Bonus: Use the “Invite Friend” feature to invite a friend, and both you and your friend will receive Variant Crystals. If over 1,000 invitations are made, all players will receive 10 Standard Scout Tickets and other rewards. Currently underway, end date TBC.
6. Restart Celebration Packs: Special limited-time packs commemorating the restart are now available. Available until January 30, 2025, 4:59 UTC.

The new playable character Mito has also been released, and a special “Mito Joins the Game! Campaign” is underway. This campaign features limited-time missions, a Login Bonus offering [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets, and more. Available until January 6, 2025, 4:59 UTC.  

A “Returning Player Campaign” to thank players who played the previous version of the game is also underway. Returning players can receive [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets and special Titles based on how many days they’ve logged in. Available until January 30, 2025, 4:59 UTC.
