The official X (Formerly Twitter) account of sound production company Wave Master has announced that voice actress Kubota Risa, who announced her retirement from voice acting on July 31, 2023, will resume her voice acting career, now under the name Hoshina Risa, through a business partnership with Wave Master.

Kubota Risa (Hoshina Risa) did not originally share the reason for her retirement; she stated in her retirement post that her feelings on the matter were conflicted, but she ultimately decided to retire.
Kubota Risa (Hoshina Risa) is known for her roles as Shindou Iu in , Ren in Konohana Kitan, and Sekino Roko in Dropout Idol Fruit Tart. She also performed the opening and ending themes of Dropout Idol Fruit Tart as part of the Fruit Tart group.
