Animation studio A-1 Pictures has announced via a new official X (Formerly Twitter) account and official website that an anime movie adaptation of Higashino Keigo’s The Camphorwood Custodian novel, directed by Itou Tomohiko, will premiere in Japan in 2026.
The official site unveiled the first teaser visual.

The Camphorwood Custodian novel was first released on March 17, 2020.
Higashino Keigo’s other works include the 2002 manga series Heads, with art by Mase Motoro, and the 2009 manga series Houkago, with art by Shimotsuki Kayoko.
