Bad Girl Anime Release Date Announced

The official website of the anime adaptation of Nikumaru’s Bad Girl manga series has announced the anime will be released in July 2025.
The site also announced four cast members alongside their character visuals.

  • “I am Tachibana Azusa, and I will be voicing Yuutani Yuu.
    Bad Girl is a work where the corners of my mouth stayed lifted the entire time I read it! Of course, the characters are cute, but the jokes and comebacks made me want to say, ‘What is that!?’ and the corners of my mouth wouldn’t come down. Also, all of their interactions had me grinning non-stop! It’s cute, funny, and precious, a greedy all-in-one kind of work, and my mouth muscles hurt because the corners of my mouth wouldn’t go down.”

  • “The character I will be voicing, Yuutani Yuu-chan, is cute and like a small animal, but she is also very unusual. She has a distinctive vocabulary and says things like ‘Kohyuu…’ and does strange things throughout, but she is very serious. However, she is also very smart! I hope I can express that mismatch well!! My love for Yuu-chan is second to none! Thank you very much!!!”

  • “My first impression of Atori-chan, being the ‘school disciplinary committee president,’ was that she was serious.
    However, as I continued reading, I realised she was a laid-back, wildly funny older sister who was unpredictable and more free-spirited than anyone else.
    I approached the recording with a strong desire to express Atori-chan’s unique sensibility.”

  • “When I read the original work, the jokes in the story were so funny that I couldn’t help but laugh out loud! I read it while grinning from ear to ear, and I remember feeling lonely when I finished it so quickly!
    However, after reading it multiple times, I noticed new things, like there were more elements to dig into, and I feel that it’s a work I can enjoy for a long time!”

  • “I feel that, among all those characters with such strong personalities, Suzu is possibly the only one who maintains common sense!
    She keeps making jokes seriously and pokes fun at everyone. I tried to focus on these elements when I played the role! Furthermore, Suzu has special feelings for Yuu. Her occasional tsundere moments are irresistible, so I want to convey this charm while playing her!!!”

  • “I think it’s a work that’s not just cute but also full of strong quirks (laughs). The unique expressions and word sense that only Bad Girl can offer are truly wonderful. I kept thinking, ‘I want to use these expressions in everyday life!’
    It’s full of yuri elements, with each character having an arrow directed at someone, and there are various ways of attacking, which makes for exciting and heart-pounding developments that are just the best!!!”

  • “Rura-chan is the ultimate burikko character who understands her cuteness better than anyone. A super adorable, sparkling beauty! ♡♡♡♡
    But at the same time, she’s also the ultimate teasing target. Her junior, Yuu-chan, calls her weird nicknames, and she often ends up in unfortunate situations. There are plenty of moments where she’s pitiful yet cute.
    Rura-chan is the only one who suits the phrase ‘kawaisou kawaii’ (pitifully cute) so well, so I want to fully enjoy bringing out that charm while playing her! (laughs)”
