Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon Reveals Main Cast, Fall 2025 Release Date in New Promo Video
The official website of the anime adaptation of Meikyou Shisui and tef’s Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon light novel series has released the first teaser promotional video, showcasing a Fall 2025 release date.
The trailer also announced that studio J.C. Staff will oversee animation.

The light novel series was first released on May 19, 2021. The latest volume, volume 12, will be released on April 16, 2025.
A manga adaptation with art by Oomae Takafumi began serialisation in Magazine Pocket on May 25, 2021. The latest chapter, chapter 161, was released on April 15, 2025.
