A Couple of Cuckoos 2nd Season Reveals July Release Date in New Trailer
A Couple of Cuckoos‘ anime adaptation has released the first teaser promotional video for the second season via its official website, featuring the ending theme “Anata de Nakucha” by 22/7 and showcasing a July 2025 release date.
The video also announces that studio Okuruto Noboru will be in charge of the animation, taking over from studios SynergySP and Shin-Ei Animation, which were in charge of the first season’s animation.
The site also announced that voice actress Youmiya Hina will join the cast as Mochizuki Ai and shared the visuals for all five main characters.
Finally, the site unveiled the first key visual of the second season.
Yoshikawa Miki’s A Couple of Cuckoos manga series originally began serialisation in Weekly Shounen Magazine on January 29, 2020, and the latest chapter, chapter 244, was released on April 2, 2025.
The first season of the anime adaptation aired between April 24, 2022, and October 2, 2022, with 24 episodes total.

After being switched at birth when he was a baby, high school student Umino Nagi is finally set to meet his birth parents.
On that day, he encounters Amano Erika, a student at a prestigious all-girls school. At her request to prevent a marriage with her fiancé, he ends up half-forcibly playing the role of her boyfriend.
However, these two are, in fact, the children who were switched at birth and were the intended fiancés!
Beloved by both sets of parents, Nagi and Erika become officially recognised fiancés and start living together.
