Tokyo Revengers

Back in his second year of middle school, Takemichi Hanagaki was living his best life with a solid group of friends, respect, and a girlfriend. Fast forward twelve years, and life couldn’t be more different. Now, he’s just a has-been, ridiculed by kids and constantly bowing down to a younger boss. His day gets even worse when he learns about the brutal murder of his only girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her brother by the Tokyo Manji Gang—a news that hits him hard.

Just when he’s about to be hit by a train, Takemichi finds himself transported back in time to that pivotal day 12 years ago, the day he was still with Hinata. There, he encounters Hinata’s brother and, in a desperate move, urges him to protect Hinata, right before getting thrust back into the future. To his surprise, he’s still alive, and even more shocking, the future seems altered. Takemichi realizes he has the power to change time.

Seizing this unexpected ability to influence the past, Takemichi decides to use it to save Hinata from her fate at the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang, hoping to transform both their futures. [Adapted from MAL]
