In the Universal Century, year 0079, humans have colonized space, residing in clusters called “Sides.” The Principality of Zeon, one of these Sides, wages war against the Earth Federation, which governs Earth. Zeon’s use of advanced humanoid robots, known as “mobile suits,” initially gives them a significant advantage.
However, nine months into this war, the Earth Federation unveils its own powerful mobile suit, the Gundam. During a Zeon attack on the colony where the Gundam is located, 15-year-old civilian Amuro Ray is unexpectedly swept into the fray. His journey takes him through various battles on Earth and in space, where he faces Zeon’s top pilot, Char Aznable.
