Kuroko’s Basketball

Over the past three years, Teikou Middle School has been a powerhouse in the national basketball arena, thanks to its famed “Generation of Miracles.” This elite group included five basketball prodigies, supported by a lesser-known “Phantom Sixth Man,” who contributed significantly to the team’s legendary status. As time passed, these players grew disillusioned with basketball and eventually dispersed to different high schools.

At Seirin High School, the basketball team is keen on bolstering its lineup and enlists two first-year students, Taiga Kagami and Tetsuya Kuroko. Kagami, recently back from America, is highly skilled and passionate about basketball. On the other hand, Kuroko appears unremarkable and lacks a noticeable athletic prowess. It’s later uncovered that Kuroko was the secretive Phantom Sixth Man at Teikou, a former member of the Generation of Miracles.

Kuroko is determined to demonstrate his unique strengths on the Seirin team. Inspired by Kuroko’s resolve, Kagami decides to team up with him, with Kuroko vowing to be the “shadow” to Kagami’s “light.” Together with their new teammates at Seirin, they set their sights on winning the Interhigh championship. However, their journey is fraught with challenges, especially with the return of Kuroko’s old teammates from Teikou.
