Fullmetal Alchemist

Edward Elric, a gifted young alchemist, has endured significant loss in his twelve years. Attempting to resurrect their deceased mother with the forbidden technique of human transmutation, Edward and his brother Alphonse suffer tragic consequences. Edward loses two limbs, and Alphonse’s soul becomes tethered to a massive suit of armor, thanks to Edward’s exceptional alchemical abilities.

A year on, Edward, now recognized as the state’s fullmetal alchemist, sets out with Alphonse to search for the Philosopher’s Stone. This legendary artifact is said to greatly enhance an alchemist’s powers, enabling them to bypass the crucial alchemical principle of equivalent exchange, where something of equal value must be given up to gain something else. Edward aims to use the military’s resources to locate the stone and return their bodies to their original states.

However, as the Elric brothers delve deeper, they uncover unsettling truths about the Philosopher’s Stone and find themselves at the center of a much darker and more sinister conflict than they had anticipated.
