*Observation Records of My Fiancée* Anime Adaptation Announced for 2026
A newly launched official website and X (formerly Twitter) account announced that Shiki and Hachipisu Wan’s Observation Records of My Fiancée: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess light novel series will receive an anime adaptation by studio Ashi Productions in 2026.
The site also unveiled the first key visual.
Publisher AlphaPolis released the first volume of the light novel on May 4, 2017, and the second and final volume on September 5, 2017.
AlphaPolis also publishes the sequel series, An Observation Log of My Wife Who Calls Herself a Villainess. The first volume was released on April 5, 2022, and the latest volume, volume 4, was released on May 5, 2024.
Regina magazine serialised a manga adaptation by Hasumi Natsume between May 7, 2018, and August 6, 2021. The series ended with six volumes and 38 chapters in total.
Hasumi Natsume is also working on the manga adaptation of the sequel series, which began serialisation in Regina magazine on March 29, 2022. The latest chapter, chapter 19, was released on April 18, 2025.
