Game developer Mages has launched an official website to announce their new The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy video game—a dungeon RPG video game spin-off of Haruba Negi‘s The Quintessential Quintuplets manga series.
The site also shared an announcement video, revealing the game will be released on September 18 in Japan for the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 5, with the PlayStation 4 receiving a digital version only.
Key features of The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy include (taken from the official website):
- Story:
- Set in a kingdom where science and magic coexist, Uesugi Fuutarou becomes a private tutor for his five quintuplet classmates at the Magic Academy. They are daughters of a wealthy noble family and are all failing. As Fuutarou gets involved in their lives, he discovers their secret.

- Game System: A dungeon RPG where the player takes on the role of the tutor, guiding the quintuplets to graduation.
- Story Mode: Features a main story at the Magic Academy and individual character stories for each quintuplet.
- Training: Players can individually train the quintuplets, increase their parameters, customise magic wands, and synthesise items.
- Quests/Battles: Players accept quests, explore dungeons, collect items, and engage in magic-based battles against monsters.
- New stories unlock based on training and quest progress.
