Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Main Cast Announced

The official website of the anime adaptation of Hiromu’s Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle light novel series has unveiled the first key visual of the anime.

The site also announced the six main cast members and shared their messages.

  • “Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle depicts the freshness of youth, and when I had the opportunity to read it, it deeply moved me. I am honoured and excited to play the role of Chitose Saku, one of the characters who worries about the gap between ideals and reality yet keeps moving forward. I am also looking forward to seeing Hiromu-sensei’s delicate and beautiful writing move as an anime, and as a fan myself, I am excited to watch it as well. Lastly, I will introduce one of my favourite lines from the original work.

• Iwami Manaka:
  • “During the audition, I was attracted to each character’s charm and the shadows I gradually began to sense, and I thought it would be fun to be involved in this work. Among the wonderful cast members, I have the pleasure of playing Yuuko-chan, who is bright, energetic, and straightforward yet occasionally shows a mature side that makes your heart skip a beat! This work has many dialogue exchanges, but the delivery of the lines is stylish and full of charm, so please look forward to it!”

• Youmiya Hina:
  • “My name is Youmiya Hina, and I will be voicing Uchida Yua-chan. The script used in the audition contained many excerpts of conversations, so while imagining what kind of atmosphere it would have, I approached the audition with the hope of bringing Yua-chan to life. When I was informed that I had passed the audition, I still felt like I was in a dream, but as the recording sessions began and I experienced that atmosphere firsthand, I finally realized the joy of being able to be here. I will give it my all in my performance. I would be happy if you could look forward to the broadcast!”

• Hasegawa Ikumi:
  • “My name is Hasegawa Ikumi, and I will be voicing Nanase Yuzuki. As I write this comment, the dubbing is still in the early stages, but it’s a parade of thoughts I’ve never made and words I’ve never said! Is there really a high school girl like this?! While thinking that, I am captivated by Yuzuki’s charm. It feels as though Yuzuki, who is far better than me, is bringing out my potential, and interacting with the other cast members is very refreshing and fun! Please look forward to the anime Chiramune!”

• Ookubo Rumi:
  • “I had read Chiramune before, and during the audition, I felt a highly sharpened and incredible concentration within myself, and I felt like I had a mutual understanding with Haru. So when I heard I was chosen, I was truly happy! Haru is small and cute, but she is a straightforward, athletic girl at heart, so I am conscious of that while performing. She is like a blue, beautiful, sparkling soda, but that sparkling won’t last forever… It’s a story of youth for Chitose-kun and the others, so like Ramune, please be sure to enjoy it!”

• Anzai Chika:
  • “My name is Anzai Chika, and I will be voicing Nishino Asuka. I apologize for the personal story, but I’m from Fukui Prefecture… and the locations that appear in the work are so typical of the Fukui landscape, which gives me a strange feeling (laughs). I’m doing the dubbing while remembering the atmosphere of Fukui. Asuka is truly like the wind, sometimes gentle, sometimes warm, and hard to grasp, but she is a very charming character. It’s an honour to be involved in this work as her. Whether you’re from Fukui or not, please look forward to the day you can watch their youth in animation!”
