Driven by an insatiable curiosity for science, the quirky scientist Okabe Rintarou, along with his naive yet sincere friend Shiina Mayuri and his roommate Hashida Itaru, establishes the Future Gadget Laboratory. Their goal? To craft technological marvels that astonish the mind. Despite their ambitions, the most significant invention they’ve managed is a microwave that bizarrely transforms bananas into green goo.

Things take an unexpected turn when Okabe attends a time travel seminar and encounters a series of odd occurrences. These events lead him to suspect that their seemingly trivial “Phone Microwave” might have capabilities beyond their wildest guesses. It appears to send text messages back in time, prompting Okabe to experiment more with this accidental “time machine,” drawing the wrath and scrutiny of the enigmatic agency SERN.

This breakthrough plunges Okabe and his companions into constant peril. As he strives to correct the disruptions his device has introduced to the timeline, Okabe is also fighting to protect his friends and maintain his own mental stability.
