Love Live! School Idol Project

Otonokizaka High School is facing the threat of closure due to falling student numbers, with plans to shut down after the current batch of first-year students complete their studies. In response, second-year student Honoka Kousaka is determined to reverse the school’s fortunes. Inspired by the success of the popular school idol group A-RISE, Honoka decides to form her own group called μ’s (pronounced “muse”), alongside her childhood friends Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami, aiming to increase the school’s popularity and enrollment.

However, their path is not smooth. Eri Ayase, the president of the student council, strongly resists the formation of the school idol group, putting obstacles in their way. Additionally, Honoka and her friends struggle to recruit more members to join their cause. But there’s hope in the form of the Love Live competition, which selects the top school idol groups in Japan. Participating could provide the visibility they need to attract more students to Otonokizaka.

With time pressing and the Love Live competition nearing, Honoka must work fast and effectively to assemble her school idol group and compete, hoping to win and save her school from closure. [Adapted from MAL]
