Danganronpa: The Animation

Naegi Makoto, an average teenager without any distinct abilities, is unexpectedly admitted to Hope’s Peak Private Academy, a prestigious school known for producing guaranteed success among its graduates. Although he suspects his acceptance might have been a mistake, Naegi is eager to join the ranks of the elite students. With high hopes, he steps into the academy.

However, his excitement quickly turns to confusion when he loses consciousness and later wakes up in a deserted classroom. Uncertain about how he ended up there, Naegi starts exploring and stumbles upon his fellow classmates in the gym. They’re all trying to make sense of their situation when Monokuma, a robotic teddy bear who claims to be the principal, appears. Monokuma shocks them with the declaration that they are all trapped inside the school. The only way out? One must murder another classmate without getting caught.

Faced with a grim choice, tension escalates among Naegi and his peers as they decide whether to engage in the deadly game or live indefinitely within the school’s walls.
