Blue Exorcist

Humans and demons exist as reflections of each other, just as their respective realms, Assiah and Gehenna, mirror one another. The only passage between these worlds is through possession, akin to what you hear in ghost tales. However, Satan, the sovereign of Gehenna, is unable to find a suitable host and is thus trapped in his own domain. In a bid to take over Assiah, he sends his son with the hope that he will mature into a suitable vessel for his demonic essence.

“Ao no Exorcist” centers on Rin Okumura, a seemingly normal and somewhat rebellious teenager, whose life is thrown into chaos when he is attacked by demons. The shocking revelation that he is Satan’s son and the heir to Gehenna’s throne comes to light. Determined not to follow in his father’s footsteps, Rin resolves to train as an exorcist, aiming to protect Assiah and fight alongside his brother, Yukio.
