Bleach

Ichigo Kurosaki was just a normal high school student until a Hollow, a malevolent spirit that preys on human souls, attacked his family. During the attack, he meets a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki, who is injured while defending Ichigo’s family. To rescue them, Ichigo takes up Rukia’s offer to transfer her powers to him, transforming him into a Soul Reaper.

With Rukia unable to recover her powers, Ichigo takes on the responsibility of battling the Hollows terrorizing their town. He’s not alone in this endeavor, though, as his classmates Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryuu Ishida join him. Each brings unique abilities to the fray. Together, they navigate their newfound roles, supporting one another both in and out of combat. As they grow accustomed to their roles, Ichigo discovers that Hollows aren’t the sole menace to the human world.
