A Certain Scientific Accelerator

Academy City is a hub of advanced scientific and technological innovation, famed for creating espers—individuals with supernatural powers that defy the norms of reality. At the top of the esper hierarchy are the Level 5s, and Accelerator is the most formidable among them, despite suffering from a serious brain injury. He is closely accompanied by a young girl, Last Order, who, despite his aloof nature, is very dear to him and whom he has sworn to protect no matter what.

While Accelerator is still recuperating, the sinister underbelly of Academy City is constantly active, drawing him into a fresh turmoil against his will. A new threat emerges when a mysterious woman seeking Last Order confronts Accelerator, leading to his encounter with a dangerous group that has infiltrated Anti-Skill, the city’s security force. As perilous entities mobilize that endanger Last Order and her sisters, the self-styled villain is compelled to immerse himself in the shadows once more.
