Anne Shirley Anime Adaptation Release Date Announced

The official website of the anime adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables novel, Anne Shirley, announced the anime will be released in April 2025 with 24 episodes in total.

The five main cast members were also announced:

• Inoue Honoka as Anne Shirley
• Nakamura Aya as Marilla Cuthbert
• Matsumoto Yasunori as Matthew Cuthbert
• Miyase Naoya as Gilbert Blythe
• Miyamoto Yume as Diana Barry

• Q1. How did you feel when you were chosen to appear in Anne Shirley?
  “Ever since I was a child, I loved the world of Anne of Green Gables, so from the time of the audition, I thought, ‘I want to play Anne!’ But I never imagined it would become a reality. ‘Is this a dream?’ I thought.
  It was a joy so immense that I can’t put it into words!
  At the same time, because this is such a historic and wonderful title, I also felt a lot of anxiety and pressure.
