About Rurouni Kenshin:
During the turbulent period at the end of the Edo period, there was a man who was feared as “Hitokiri Battosai.” With the dawn of a new era, the man disappeared from people’s sight and became a legend known as “the strongest.”
Time passes–Meiji 11, downtown Tokyo.
A travelling swordsman, Himura Kenshin, who carries a reverse-blade sword on his belt and has sworn not to kill, meets Kamiya Kaoru, the assistant instructor of the Kamiya Kasshin-ryu school of swordsmanship.
After solving the case of “Hitokiri Battosai,” a street slasher pretending to be a Kasshin-ryu swordsman, Kenshin ends up staying with Kaoru.
He meets friends such as Myoujin Yahiko, a Tokyo samurai, and Sagara Sanosuke, a self-proclaimed brawler, and confronts his sworn enemies.
Here begins the Meiji swordsman romance of people who live to the fullest in a new era.
