This Monster Wants to Eat Me Anime Unveils New Visual
The official X (Formerly Twitter) account of the anime adaptation of Naekawa Sai‘s This Monster Wants to Eat Me manga series has unveiled a new “casual clothes” visual.
This Monster Wants to Eat Me will begin airing in October 2025.
Publisher ASCII Media Works’s Dengeki Maoh magazine began serialisation of the manga series on August 27, 2020. The latest chapter, chapter 47, was released on May 3, 2025.

The mermaid girl, Shiori, suddenly appears, gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town, and speaks softly to her.
Hinako's flesh and blood are said to be exceptionally delicious, so much so that it attracts countless youkai.
Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her peak condition, and promises that "one day I'll eat her."
In Hinako's heart, a desperate thought begins to take shape:
"If it's her, maybe she can make my wish come true…"
