With You and the Rain Anime Release Date Announced

The official website of the anime adaptation of Nikaidou Kou’s With You and the Rain manga series has announced the anime will begin airing in July 2025.

Four cast members were announced:

• Hayami Saori as Fuji
• Satou Satomi as Ren
• Kamakura Yuna as Mimi
• Yumoto Yuzu in her voice-acting debut as Ella Krause Kii

A message from the cast members was also shared:

• Hayami Saori (Voice of Fuji):
  “When I was in charge of the audio for the PV, I read the original work all at once and was deeply moved by the beauty of the story and the delicacy of the artwork.
  When I auditioned for the anime, I was eager to be involved with this work again, so I was truly happy when I was given this opportunity.
  
  I recorded each episode carefully and earnestly, trying to express Fuji’s character through my voice.
  I am facing this work with her as my spiritual partner.
  
  Please enjoy the world of With You and the Rain, where the unique and free-spirited characters live in a way that feels natural for them.”
  

• Satou Satomi (Voice of Ren):
  “I am Satou Satomi, and I will be voicing Ren. I am a huge fan of Nikaidou Kou’s works.
  Of course, I had already read With You and the Rain,
  and I hoped that more people would get to know how wonderful this work is.
  I received the audition offer around that time. When I heard that I had been chosen for the role of Ren, I was so happy that I shouted out in joy so loudly that it echoed through the entire office!
  Ren is free-spirited, but when she watches over everyone, her gaze is incredibly gentle. She creates just the right warmth in the space with just a few casual words. I love her so much,
  and I feel very honoured to have been given the chance to experience life alongside her from the same perspective.
  As a fan myself, I will do my best to bring the same sense of happiness that I felt after reading it to everybody watching the anime!!! Please look forward to it.”
  

• Kamakura Yuna (Voice of Mimi):
  “I am Kamakura Yuna, and I will voice the character Mimi.
  When I first read the original work, I felt it was a wonderful story that left me with a lovely, heart-warming feeling.
  I hope to express Mimi’s cuteness, which subtly appears in the casual exchanges.
  
  I hope this work will soothe everyone’s hearts amid everyday life, which is as ever-changing as the weather.
  Please enjoy it while holding your favourite drink and, in your heart, hugging a tanuki… or is it a dog?”
  

• Yumoto Yuzu (Voice of Ella Krause Kii):
  “Hello, everyone. It’s nice to meet you. I am Yumoto Yuzu, and I will voice the character Ella Krause Kii.
  With the kind support of the cast and staff,
  I did my best to express Kii-chan’s cuteness, curiosity, and enthusiasm for studying.
  
  Whenever I read the original work or script, I think to myself that I would love to have a friend like Kii-chan.
  I can’t wait for everyone to watch the anime, and I’m really looking forward to it myself!”

During a rainy walk home, a woman meets an unusual “dog.”
The dog uses a flip chart to plead to be taken in and offers the woman a folding umbrella in exchange.
