Solo Camping for Two Anime Adaptation Announced

The newly released website of slice-of-life anime Solo Camping for Two has released the first teaser promotional video showcasing a July 2025 release date.

The two main cast members were announced:

• Niizaki Mizuki as Kusano Shizuku
• Hamano Daiki as Kinokura Gen

The new cast members shared a message:

Niizaki Mizuki (Voice of Kusano Shizuku):

“Nice to meet you. I’m Niizaki Mizuki, who plays Kusano Shizuku. What does ‘Solo Camping for Two’ mean you might ask? Me too. I was attracted to the title when I auditioned and learned about the work, but I was excited to learn about camping and cooking simultaneously! Actually, I’m an indoor person and have never been camping before, so I’m going to learn about camping together with Shizuku. Shizuku is a bit pushy, but she’s also a very hardworking and honest girl. So, I tried to show all the honesty I have inside me. I hope you enjoy watching Shizuku grow through the work. Also, the Nagasaki dialect that appears frequently is one of Shizuku’s cute points, so I studied it a lot. Please enjoy this too! This is my first regular role in an anime. I was nervous every time I participated in the recording, but I feel like I’m growing every day with advice from Hamano, just like Shizuku and Gen-san. I hope that the atmosphere of Solo Camping for Two will reach everyone. Let’s enjoy Two Solo Camps together, where you can enjoy camping and gourmet food!”

Hamano Daiki (Voice of Kinokura Gen):

“I am Hamano Daiki, who plays Kinokura Gen. As his name suggests, Gen is a stubborn man. Although he is not good at dealing with people, he is more passionate than most when it comes to camping and has strong opinions. To play him, I had to be a bit old-fashioned… I was conscious of the “Showa era dad” feel… but I was careful to express a charming man who lives for his hobbies and romance. I love people who are passionate about something and are straightforward, so it was a lot of fun to play Gen. My memories of camping include camping at Mt. Tsukuba as part of a school event in junior high school and survival camping in the Blue Mountains when I was in high school living in Sydney. I didn’t do it solo, but both are memorable. At Mt. Tsukuba, all the students in my grade gathered around the campfire and performed and had a great time. At the high school camp, we brought our own food, tableware, and camping kits for five days, decided the route from the start to the destination, and survived. Both are very fond memories. Since there are many scenes with few characters, we are approaching the dubbing with a very close relationship like a family. Starting with Shimura-san from NA and Shiro-san, who is the dialect coach, everyone is having fun saying things like “I want to do this kind of camping” and “I want to eat this kind of food”, but they are all serious about the work and their acting, and are facing every word. It’s just fun! Fans of Solo Camping for Two and camping lovers, I believe you will enjoy this work, which is based on the theme of camping, which is not easy to understand.
