Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Video Showcases New Planet, Psychic Abilities, Suit Variant
Developer Retro Studios and publisher Nintendo released a new promotional video for the upcoming Metroid Prime 4: Beyond video game during their Nintendo Direct 03.27.2025 livestream.
The new video features the Planet Viewros, protagonist Samus Aran’s new Psychic Abilities, and a new Power Suit variant.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is scheduled for release in 2025, after being announced at E3 in 2017. The game was reportedly initially developed by Bandai Namco, but in January 2019, Nintendo announced that development was restarted under Retro Studios, which worked on previous Metroid Prime games.
The Metroid series began with the 1986 Metroid game for the Famicom Disk System.
The first Metroid Prime game was released in 2002 for the GameCube. The second game, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, was released in 2004, also for the GameCube. The third game, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, was released in 2007 for the Wii.
