WeeBe is a new brand by a long-time merchandise distributor.
Our mission is to create a home for anime enthusiasts and weebs worldwide,bridging different aspects of Weeb culture.

Background
Our company, YK May Corporation Trading (有限会社メイ・コーポレーション・トレーディング, or “MayCo”), is a foreign-owned Japanese corporation founded in 1991, that has been selling collectibles of Anime & Japanese pop culture brands from the early 2000s.
The products we handle range from goods manufactured in Japan to those that are made by western manufacturers of Japanese intellectual properties (IPs), but the common to all of them is that we only deal in licensed goods. 

Vision
WeeBe began as an idea from within a sister company of MayCo. As our team members were working from abroad, they found themselves feeling somewhat alienated from their roots, while still strangers in the countries they visited.
Yet, in local Anime stores and Otaku cafes, they found a safe haven, where they could feel at home and among their own kind.

Embracing “weeb” as a new identity, we decided to utilize our company’s experience and imagined WeeBe as our way to spread the love for Japanese pop-culture worldwide however we can. We’re aiming to create a sense of community, a ‘weeb nation’ – for both vtubers, artists and fans.
WeeBe’s online store is our first step toward building a global marketplace for weeb goods, empowering creators, and fostering a vibrant community hub for anime enthusiasts everywhere.

Experience
Over the past decade and some, our company group acted as a distributor for some major brands in several territories, and our focus was on B2B sales.
In 2022, we decided to try our hand in manufacturing as well, and invested in securing the merchandising rights to an upcoming Virtual Youtuber IP – Idol Corp.
While it took a substantial amount of time before we were given the green light to proceed with manufacturing, in 2024 we successfully produced and manufactured several of the brand’s product lines, raising the standards of what is common in Virtual Youtuber merchandise in terms of packaging, quality, and customer support.
We now aim to offer the same corporate-level services to additional brands, including independent Vtubers, offering partnerships beneficial to both sides with no financial investment needed from our partners.
